Refund Policy

Effective date: March 19, 2026

We want you to be satisfied with TravelSafe Japan. This Refund Policy explains your options for each of our plans. All payments are processed by Stripe.

1. Free Plan

The Free plan requires no payment. No refunds apply.

2. 5-Day Pass ($2.99 — One-Time Purchase)

The 5-Day Pass is activated immediately upon purchase and grants 5 days of unlimited access starting from the moment of payment.

  • No refund after activation. Because the pass is consumed digitally and access is granted instantly, we are generally unable to offer refunds once activated.
  • Exception — Technical Failure: If you were unable to use the Service due to a verified technical issue on our end (e.g., the Service was completely inaccessible for the majority of your pass period), please contact us within 7 days of purchase. We will review your case and, if valid, issue a full refund or extend your pass.
  • Exception — Accidental Double Charge: If you were charged twice for the same pass due to a payment error, contact us immediately and we will refund the duplicate charge.

3. Pro Monthly ($4.99/month)

  • Cancel anytime: You may cancel your Pro Monthly subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain Pro access until then.
  • No partial-month refunds. We do not prorate or refund the remaining days of a billing period after cancellation.
  • Exception — Technical Failure: If the Service was not functional for a material portion of your billing period due to our error, contact us and we will review your case for a prorated credit or refund.

4. Pro Annual ($19.99/year)

  • Cancel anytime: You may cancel at any time. Your Pro access continues until the end of the annual period.
  • 14-day refund window: If you are not satisfied with the Pro Annual plan, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your initial purchase date. To request a refund, contact us at support@travelsafejapan.com with your account email and order details.
  • After 14 days: No refund is available for the remaining period of the annual subscription.

5. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund or report a billing issue:

  1. Email support@travelsafejapan.com with the subject line “Refund Request”
  2. Include your account email address and the date of purchase
  3. Briefly describe the reason for your request

We aim to respond to all refund requests within 3 business days. Approved refunds are processed via Stripe and may take 5–10 business days to appear on your statement depending on your card issuer.

6. Chargebacks

If you initiate a chargeback with your bank or card issuer without first contacting us, your account may be suspended pending investigation. We encourage you to reach out to us directly — we are happy to resolve billing issues quickly.
