Welcome to TravelSafe Japan. By accessing or using our website and services at travelsafejapan.com (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
TravelSafe Japan provides tools and guides for travelers visiting Japan, including:

Always consult your doctor or allergist before traveling. AI-generated text may contain errors — never rely solely on our results for food safety decisions. In an emergency, contact local emergency services immediately.
The travel tools and guides are free and need no account. You can also make an allergy card for free and show it on your screen; the free card carries a “preview” watermark and cannot be saved or printed. To keep the Service available to everyone, the allergy card generator has daily limits per IP address and across the site. We may change limits or free features at any time.
We sell two one-time digital products. There is no subscription and no account.
Price and payment. The price is shown before you pay and on the Stripe checkout page. The amount on the checkout page is what you are charged. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your full card details.
Delivery and access. Your purchase opens as soon as payment is confirmed, and we email you a private link. The link works for 30 days from purchase. During that time you can edit your details and save your files; files you have saved to your own devices are yours to keep after the link expires. Keep the link private — anyone who has it can open your purchase.
Changes. A paid allergy card can be re-made up to 5 times within the 30 days (for example, to fix a mistake or add an allergy). Each re-make uses the same AI generator and its daily limits.
If something is wrong. If your purchase will not open, the email never arrives, you were charged twice, or the content is faulty or not as described, email [email protected] from the address you paid with, within 30 days of buying. We will fix it; if we cannot, we refund you to your original payment method. Nothing here affects your legal rights if the content is faulty or not as described.
Personal use. Paid products are for your own trip and the people you travel with. Do not resell them or publish the purchase link or the guide content.
You are responsible for the allergens, restrictions, emergency details and addresses you enter. Check every generated card against your own medical advice, and check addresses before relying on them.

All content, design, code, and trademarks of TravelSafe Japan are owned by us or our licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written consent. Cards you make contain your own information and are yours to use personally.
The Service uses third-party providers including Google AI / Gemini (allergy card text), Stripe (payments), Resend (purchase emails), Cloudflare (hosting) and Upstash (data storage and rate limiting). Use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the accuracy of data sourced from third parties.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI-GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE. NOTHING IN THIS SECTION LIMITS RIGHTS YOU HAVE AS A CONSUMER THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED BY LAW.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TRAVELSAFE JAPAN SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING ANY HARM RESULTING FROM RELIANCE ON AI-GENERATED ALLERGY CARDS OR ON TOOL RESULTS. FOR PAID PRODUCTS, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID. WE DO NOT EXCLUDE LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED BY LAW.
We may block access to the Service, or to any part of it, for anyone who violates these Terms. If we close a paid purchase for a reason other than a breach of these Terms, we will refund it.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Tokyo, Japan. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, or your right to bring a claim there.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. Material changes are posted on this page with a new effective date. A purchase is governed by the Terms in force when you bought it.
